Doggie mini skirt

Progess on the dog dress.... it is moving along pretty quickly except for a few minor mistakes in the lace (I couldnt figure out how to fix them so I just left them...dont think anyone will notice). I may just stop right here and put some elastic in the waist band and make her a mini skirt....VERY CUTE.

I have had some suggestions for my next project...a scarf for my sister Andrea....hmmm... very suspicious.

Christmas already!!

I found the most adorable sweater/dress that I am going to make for Quinci for Christmas. The pattern is in Dogs in Knits by J.L. Swartz and all the patterns are so cute. I know it is a bit early to be knitting up gifts but I have to get a head start because of the wedding at Christmas...... I won't have any time. I haven't started yet because I am waiting (patiently) for my mom and Sam to call me with Quinci's measurments (every sweater I make for her is too small so I thought I would get the precise measurments since I am using Alpaca and don't want to ruin it)

This is the alpaca that I am using.... it looks a little more pink in the picture than it actually is (it looks so horrid against the table... ).

I would like to thank the person who suggested that I use the dishcloth as a tube top, however I dont think it will work for 2 important reasons.
1) you cant tell from the picture but it actually is quite lacey
2) the colors may cause a seizure for the person wearing it and for the others around them.

I have stashed that ball of wool away and I think I am going to make a tea set out of it.... I dont think children will care about the color....will they?

STATE OF EMERGENCY.... ha

Well it has been raining her for 3 weeks and this is what we have to show for it...flooded streets. Believe it or not kids were actually playing in that water... it was the most digusting thing I have seen...heads under and everything. They say that we are in a state of emergency... what that means is no outdoor water use... not watering lawns or washing cars...... how will we survive????

You would think that with all that rain I would get a ton of knitting done but NO of course not. Well actually I did have good intentions and bought a huge ball of Bernat cotton and a dishcloth pattern book to start crafting up some dishclothes. You can see below the hideous color( believe me it doesnt look that bad in the ball) and I got bored after the first dishcloth. I am finished Sam's tanktop, it just has to be blocked. I am already thinking about Christmas gifts....scarves or aprons... I just dont know?
